Considers the organisational challenges, managerial functions, implications and behaviours necessary for effective international, transnational, and global operational management. Examines some of the strategic imperatives needed for the managerial role in the 21st century. In this context, students explore cross-border knowledge management through an appreciation of culture’s impact on strategic imperatives, organisational structures and management approaches in international joint ventures.
